Blake McWherter

Blake McWherter is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in fixed income management and investment banking. Currently serving as a Partner and Fixed Income Portfolio Manager at Corient since October 2018, McWherter oversees taxable fixed income strategies, including Investment Grade and High Yield corporate credit, as well as mortgage-backed securities. Prior to this role, McWherter held the position of Senior Vice President in the Leveraged Finance Group at PineBridge Investments from 2004 to September 2018, managing investments for institutional clients and making strategic buy/sell/hold decisions. Early career highlights include an Investment Banking Associate role in the Global Energy Group at Credit Suisse First Boston and a Loan Officer position in Commercial Real Estate Lending at Bank United Corporation. McWherter holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management and a BBA in Finance from Texas A&M University.
