Christopher D. Carter

Christopher D. Carter, CFA, currently serves as an Associate Partner and Portfolio Manager at Corient, a position held since May 2023. Prior to this role, Christopher was a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Avalon Investment & Advisory from August 2018 to May 2023, and earlier held the position of Director and Portfolio Manager at Seix Investment Advisors from July 2003 to August 2018. Throughout this career, Christopher has managed municipal bond mutual funds and separate accounts for high net worth individuals, achieving notable performance such as ranking in the 11th and 29th percentiles in Lipper peer group total returns for several bond funds. Christopher holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration-Finance from Elon University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
