Arthur Lau has been working in the software engineering field since 2001. Arthur began their career at Negecell Inc. as a Design Engineer, where they were responsible for developing the application layer of the protocol stack for mobile phones. In 2002, they moved to Via Communications as a Senior Protocol Engineer, where they remotely led a team in Beijing, China to design and implement MMI (UI). In 2008, they joined Ablaze Wireless as a Senior Design Engineer, where they developed WCDMA Femtocell (residential base station) and LTE small cell, and led a team of overseas software engineers. From 2015 to 2019, they worked at jNet ThingX Corp. as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were the Product Owner for the ePassport application (EAL5+ certified). Currently, they are a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at General Motors.
Arthur Lau obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of California, Davis between 1997 and 2000. Arthur has also obtained several certifications from LinkedIn in 2021, including Software Architecture: From Developer to Architect (July 2021), C++ Best Practices for Developers (June 2021), C++ Essential Training, C++ Templates and the STL, C++: Advanced Topics, Parallel and Concurrent Programming with C++ Part 1 and Part 2 (all obtained in May 2021), and Linux Device Drivers (April 2021).
