Stuart Rakoff

Stuart Rakoff is now retired and is actively addressing the impact of ALS while writing a blog about the disease and serving as Chair of the board of Cornerstones, a social service nonprofit in Reston, Virginia. Previously, they were a strategic leader focused on human capital strategy, policy analysis, and organizational effectiveness, with a notable role as Director of Manpower Planning and Analysis at the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Rakoff has also served as President of Rakoff & Associates LLC and held key positions in various organizations, contributing to significant advancements in military personnel policies and workforce planning. They hold a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Minnesota and an A.B. in Government from Colby College.
