Mayolet

Alexandre Mayolet has been with Corning Incorporated since April 1997, currently serving as Director of Technology, focusing on optical materials for data centers and high-resolution displays. Previous roles at Corning include Program Manager for Phire, where Alexandre oversaw the development of scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass, and Program Manager for Gorilla Glass Innovation, enhancing display clarity and device efficiency. As Project Manager, Alexandre led initiatives in thermoelectric technology aimed at helping the automotive industry meet CO2 regulations. Additionally, as Manager of Technology Assessment, Alexandre analyzed technical challenges and presented strategic recommendations to corporate management, identifying new business opportunities worth $500 million. Alexandre began a career as a Material Scientist at Thales, developing luminescent materials for plasma display panels. Academic qualifications include a Postdoctoral degree in Physical Chemistry and a Doctorate in Inorganic Material Chemistry from the University of Paris XI, Orsay, France.
