Michael Lappi

Michael Lappi serves as the Chief Medical Officer at Corning Incorporated since March 2018 and presides over the MDLAPPI Group. Lappi has been a Medical Officer with the U.S. Navy since November 1993 and has held multiple academic positions, including Fellowship at the FXB Center for Health and Human Rights at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Instructor in Global Health and Population from January 2013 to June 2022. Additional roles include Adjunct Professor at Naval War College and Director of Field Operations for the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative. Lappi has held leadership positions in the medical sector, including Global Medical Director at GE Aviation and Senior Physician at Procter & Gamble, along with serving on the Board of Directors for the Lone Survivor Foundation. Lappi's educational background includes a MPH in Occupational Medicine from Harvard, a DO from Ohio University, and a PhD in Physiology from The Ohio State University.
