Michael Murphy

Michael Murphy is an accomplished professional with diverse experience in merchandise planning, product line management, and finance. Michael began a career at Belk as an Assistant Planner, developing financial plans for a significant product category and completing an Executive Training Program focused on Merchandise Buying and Planning. Following this, Michael held various roles at Corning Incorporated, including Product Line Management and Chief of Staff for Optical Connectivity Solutions, and contributed to corporate treasury efforts at Babcock & Wilcox. Early in the career, Michael gained finance experience through an internship at Ally Financial Inc., supporting regulatory compliance within the Finance department. Michael holds an MBA from Wake Forest University School of Business and a BA in Economics with a Spanish minor from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
