Ryan Gates

Ryan Gates has extensive experience in the engineering field, particularly in electrical engineering and controls. As a Research and Development Intern at ECR Engines, Ryan designed a data acquisition system for testing alternator functionality in racing contexts. Ryan further developed skills as a Controls Engineering Intern at Corning Incorporated, where responsibilities included control system design. Currently, Ryan works as a Controls and Metrology Engineer at Corning Incorporated. Prior experience also includes serving as a Soccer Referee for the U.S. Soccer Federation from 2014 to 2019, where teamwork, leadership, and communication were essential. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Robotics, Mechatronics, Control, and Instrumentation from North Carolina State University.
