Sergey Ten

Sergey Ten is an experienced technology leader currently serving as the Director of Technology Strategy and Director of Commercial Technology at Corning Incorporated, a role held since September 2001. Prior to this, Sergey Ten managed the New Business and Technology Development group at Corning Optical Fiber and Cable, focusing on the creation of new optical fiber products for various applications. Sergey Ten's background includes significant contributions as a Research Associate, leading R&D initiatives in high-capacity fiber optic communication systems, and as a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at Tyco Submarine Systems, where development of ultra-long-haul terrestrial systems was emphasized. Earlier experiences include serving as a Senior Research Scientist at Corning Incorporated, with a focus on photonic modules and optical fiber nonlinearities. Sergey Ten holds a Ph.D. in Optics and Physics from the University of Arizona and Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Physics from Moscow State University.
