Daniel Håkansson

Daniel Homer is a seasoned cybersecurity professional currently serving as a Security Engineer III at Akuna Capital since October 2023. Previously, Daniel held the position of Blockchain Security Engineer at Coinbase, where responsibilities included blockchain and smart contract auditing, as well as on-chain monitoring and incident response. Daniel has also contributed to the University of Toronto as an Assistant Instructor in Cybersecurity, and worked as a Security Analyst at Hydro One, focusing on supply-chain cyber risk management and vendor risk assessments. Earlier roles at EWA-Canada included Security Engineer positions, where foundational skills in cybersecurity were developed. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree with a focus on Computer and Internet Security and a minor in Philosophy from Carleton University, completed in 2017.
