Dawn Refsell currently serves as the North America Traits Field Science Leader and previously held the position of Central US Field Science Leader at Corteva Agriscience. Additionally, Dawn is the Environmental Protection Commissioner for the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and a Camp Township Trustee in Polk County, Iowa. As the owner and operator of Mud Creek Farm, Dawn manages a diversified agricultural business focused on beef cattle, honey production, silkie chickens, and produce. Dawn is also a team member at Refsell Land and Livestock, which operates over three century farms emphasizing conservation. In leadership roles within professional organizations, Dawn serves as Vice President of WSSA Weeds and has held multiple positions on the North Central Weed Science Society Board, including Past President. Dawn's educational background includes a PhD in Agronomy from Kansas State University and an MS in Crop Physiology from Iowa State University.
