Joni Virtanen

Joni Virtanen has extensive experience in regulatory management and environmental engineering. Currently serving as the Country Regulatory Manager for Nordics and Baltics at Corteva Agriscience since May 2023, Joni previously held the position of Regulatory Manager Nordic at SBM Life Science from September 2019 to April 2023, overseeing regulatory affairs and product compliance in Nordic countries. Earlier roles include Environmental Specialist and Environmental Engineer at the Association for Water and Environment of Ostrobothnia Region of Finland, focusing on environmental permit applications and impact assessments, and Water System Monitor at Turku Waterworks, where responsibilities included flood control and water quality monitoring. Joni's educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Water and Environmental Engineering from Aalborg Universitet and a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Technology Engineering from Vaasan ammattikorkeakoulu.
