Peter Baas

Peter Baas is a seasoned soil microbiologist and biostimulant biology characterization leader at Corteva Agriscience, with a diverse range of expertise in soil science. Peter's career includes significant roles at Colorado State University as a research scientist and postdoctoral researcher, where notable achievements involved elucidating microbial plant biostimulant mechanisms and advancing scientific platforms. Prior experience encompasses leadership positions at Growcentia, Inc., where project management led to two provisional patents and the development of a bacterial prospecting platform. Peter earned a PhD in soil microbial ecology from the University of Georgia, as well as an MSc in plant biology and a Bachelor's degree in biology from Utrecht University.
