Shawn Burke

Shawn Burke is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and leadership roles across prominent companies. Currently serving as a Distinguished Engineer at Cortex since January 2024, Shawn previously held the same title at SoFi from January 2021 to January 2024. At Uber, from June 2015 to December 2020, Shawn was a Principal Engineer leading substantial cross-company initiatives and developing critical testing systems. Prior experience includes serving as CTO at Buddy Platform, Inc., founding Crowdpixel, and various engineering roles at Microsoft. Shawn began a career in software engineering in the mid-1990s, working with early e-commerce startups and contributing to well-known software projects. Shawn holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Washington.
