Trey Smith has worked in the oil and gas industry since 2006. In 2017, they joined New Tech Global as a Measurements While Drilling Consultant. In 2018, they moved to Corva, where they held two roles: Drilling Operations Engineering Specialist and Drilling Data Analyst / Remote Operations. In their role as Drilling Data Analyst / Remote Operations, Smith was responsible for remote monitoring of 30 to 50 active drilling rigs, QC/QA of BHA inputs, hydraulics, Torque & Drag, fluid checks, Surveys and Well Plans, connecting, channel mapping and troubleshooting company platform to rig WITSML streams to various providers including NOV and Pason, and calibrating company platform Hookload and Hydraulics models to drilling BHAs. Prior to joining Corva, Smith worked for Schlumberger in several roles, including Field Quality Champion, Asset Coordinator, Drilling Optimization Specialist, and MWD Field Specialist. In these roles, Smith was responsible for service quality incident investigation, maintaining and updating databases, coordinating the acquisition and delivery of company assets, real-time data acquisition monitoring and analysis, and providing on-site supervision of the Measurements-While-Drilling process.

Trey Smith attended the University of Houston from 1998 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Human Development and Consumer Sciences.
