Liz McCarver

Liz McCarver has a strong background in sales and leadership roles. Liz began their career at The Leadership and Learning Center/Houghton Mifflin Harcourt as a Professional Development Coordinator from September 2003 to May 2005. Liz then moved into the role of Senior Account Executive, managing a sales territory of 12 states in the Midwest. Liz achieved top sales territory status in the company for FY 2011 and FY 2012, successfully managing large-scale projects valued between $300,000 to over $1 million.

In 2013, Liz joined Corwin Press as a Senior Account Manager, responsible for a sales territory of 13 states in the Midwest and Hawaii. Liz achieved more than $2.3 million in sales for FY 2015. Liz later became the Regional Sales Manager for the West and Midwest, leading a team of Senior Professional Learning Advisors and surpassing annual sales goals in 2016 and 2017, earning Corwin's President's Award.

Currently, Liz is the Director of Sales at Corwin Press since January 2021. Liz oversees and manages the North American sales team, achieving exceptional sales results and being awarded the Corwin President's Award for FY21. Liz is responsible for all aspects of the sales team, including hiring, onboarding, training, and compensation.

Liz McCarver holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English (Literary Studies) and Elementary Education from the University of Denver. Liz also completed a Master of Arts in Education program with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction, K-6 Literacy at the University of Colorado Denver from 2004 to 2006. Additionally, Liz has obtained the Colorado DOE (CDE) Initial Teacher License from the Colorado Department of Education.
