Sonja H. has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Sonja started their career in 1991 as the Director of Professional Development at DeKalb School District, where they worked until 2013. From 2013, they held various roles at different companies, including being a Senior Consultant at Insight Education Group, Inc. and a Trainer/Developer at Henry County Schools. Sonja also co-managed Learning Centric, LLC with Dr. Aleigha Henderson-Rosser, focusing on enhancing onsite professional development services. In 2015, they became an Independent Consultant at Alexander Consulting, providing customized professional development and leadership coaching to schools and school districts. Most recently, they have been working as the Associate Vice President of Professional Learning Design at Corwin, with a focus on curriculum development and learning design. Sonja H. is passionate about training, growth, and development, and they bring a wealth of experience to their roles.

From 2003 to 2006, they attended Argosy University Atlanta, where they earned an Ed.D. degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

Between 1994 and 1996, Sonja H. studied at Georgia State University, obtaining an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Administration and Leadership.

Earlier on, from 1984 to 1991, they attended The University of Georgia, where they pursued a degree in Psychology and Social Work. During their time there, they studied Social Work, Psychology, and Education.
