Taking Local Wisdom To Modern Society
For companies ready to lead regenerative change, we turn centuries of local wisdom into powerful learning journeys.

COS KYOTO is a cultural strategy and experiential training firm based in Kyoto, Japan.
We work with corporations, creators, and changemakers to transform how organizations think, lead, and grow — through the power of place, tradition, and regenerative thinking.

Our flagship program, EDONOMY®, is a regenerative business model proposed by founder Isao Kitabayashi.

💡 EDONOMY® means “learning from local wisdom to create economies and societies that thrive within natural cycles — just as people once did in the Edo period.”

EDONOMY® is not about going back — it’s about moving forward, using timeless wisdom to reimagine business.

Through immersive corporate programs, leadership retreats, and experiential workshops, we help teams:
-Break from extractive, linear thinking
-Reconnect with ecology, culture, and time
-Gain inspiration for regenerative strategies, products, and services through hands-on experience
-Co-create with local craftspeople and communities

Beyond training, we also engage in:
- Design research, academic collaborations, and artist-in-residence projects
- Regional revitalization and cross-sector partnerships
- Ongoing storytelling, including EDONOMY Radio

We serve forward-thinking companies, SMEs, government institutions, educators, and creative professionals — those who believe that true innovation begins with remembering what sustains us.

Let your team experience how local wisdom can unlock global change.
