Daniel brings over 22 years of law enforcement experience and 8 years of security consulting experience to the Philadelphia-region. As CEO he leads a dynamic, motivated, and committed security team that is dedicated to serving an industry and high-end clientele so deserving of unparalleled professionalism in the private security and private investigations fields. Mr. Costa began his career as a Correctional Officer, and later attended the Philadelphia Police Academy. Throughout his career in law enforcement he has worked various assignments, including K9 Officer, Sergeant, acting-Lieutenant, Robbery/Arson Detective, Special Operations Team Leader, and plainclothes ACT Unit (Anti-Crime Team).

Daniel is also a Department of Homeland Security certified Instructor in Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Chemical Detection (CBRNE/COBRA) and a certified Instructor with the Municipal Police Officers Educational Training Commission (MOPETC). Daniel is also a licensed private detective in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, State of Delaware, State of New Jersey, and State of Maryland.

Daniel is a member of American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), the Pennsylvania Association of Licensed Investigators (PALI), the International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS), the National Council of Investigation & Security Services (NCISS) and the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP). He is also a member of the Concord Masonic Lodge # 625 F & AM, and a 32nd degree with the Delaware Consistory- Valley of Wilmington, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite.

In addition to his duties and responsibilities at OPS Security Group, Daniel is an adjunct professor at Rosemont College, Delaware County Community College and Montgomery County Community College teaching classes in Homeland Security, Terrorism, Private Investigations, Procedural & Substantive Law, White Collar Crime, Intel Analysis, Youthful Offender, and Principles of Investigation.
