Mert Bayer currently serves as a Senior Staff Optical System Engineer at CoStar Group since November 2025. Prior to this role, Mert was a Staff Optical Engineer and Optical System Engineer at Luminar Technologies from January 2023 to November 2025, focusing on optimizing and characterizing optical receivers for enhanced LiDAR sensor performance.
