Daniel Betten is currently the Principal Hazard Scientist at Cotality, where they build forensic weather algorithms and support the development of weather-related risk management products. They co-founded Pivotal Weather LLC in 2015 and previously served as the Director of Weather Science at CoreLogic from 2021 to 2024. Daniel began their academic journey at the University of Oklahoma, earning a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology, followed by a Master of Science and a PhD in the same field, while also gaining teaching and research experience as a Graduate Research Assistant and a Graduate Teaching Assistant from 2009 to 2017.
