John Liang is a seasoned architect with extensive experience in database technologies and enterprise applications. Currently a Senior Architect at Couchbase since August 2013, John focuses on integrating RDBMS and No-SQL technologies while enhancing traditional database systems for improved performance and scalability. Prior to this, John held senior architect roles at Oracle, where patent-pending technology for J2EE enterprise applications was developed, and at Ariba, where John transformed a metadata-driven application framework for SaaS. Additional experience includes pivotal roles at Siebel Systems and Asera, Inc., underscoring expertise in business process automation and the development of innovative application frameworks. John holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
