Kent Bateman

VP, Sales for the Americas at Couchbase

Kent Bateman is the current VP of Sales for the Americas at Couchbase. Kent has held various sales leadership roles at notable companies such as DataStax, BMC Software, Amdocs, Business Objects, Storage Networks, Triad Systems, and PTC.

Bateman began their career in 1990 as an account manager at Triad Systems. Kent then moved to Tennant Company in 1992 where they served as an account manager until 1996. Bateman transitioned to PTC in 1996 and served as the regional director until 1999.

In 2000, they became a senior account manager at Storage Networks. The following year, they took on the role of area sales director at Business Objects. Bateman continued their ascent in the sales world when they became a sales director at Amdocs in 2004.

In 2008, they joined BMC Software as the area vice president of sales. Ten years later, they left BMC Software to become the regional vice president of sales - US West at DataStax. Bateman has been with Couchbase since September 2018 and currently holds the title of VP, Sales for the Americas.

Kent Bateman graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Business Management.
