Brian Purchia is the CEO of Riff City Strategies, recognized with the PRWeek Purpose Award and as a Fast Company World's Most Innovative Winner. They have extensive experience in public relations and civic technology, having advised various government leaders, social change organizations, and tech companies throughout their career. Purchia has previously held positions as Principal at Purchia Communications LLC, Director of Digital Strategy at Burson-Marsteller, and Communications Director for Change.org. They co-founded CivicMakers and currently advise organizations such as Countable, City Innovate Inc, and CivStart. Brian holds a BA in International Studies from Kenyon College.
