Mark Reed is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and architecture. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Software Engineer at Coupa Software since October 2018, Mark specializes in search and shopping initiatives, leading AI efforts related to search and utilizing technologies such as Java, Python, Ruby on Rails, Elastic, Kubernetes, and AWS. Prior to this role, Mark was the CTO at Aquiire, where core real-time search features were developed, and led research and implementation of machine learning and natural language processing technologies. Mark also served as CTO at Zakta, overseeing the design of a patented social search website, and worked as a Consultant with Nielsen, focusing on social media data processing. Earlier career experiences include working as a Software Architect at Intelliseek and obtaining a JD in Patent Law from Northern Kentucky University along with a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
