Sheng X. has extensive experience in software engineering with a strong focus on machine learning infrastructure and network virtualization technologies. Beginning as a Research Assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2011 to 2013, Sheng contributed to high-performance computing for scientific applications. Transitioning to Oracle as a Software Engineer from 2013 to 2015, responsibilities included developing network high availability solutions. Subsequent roles at Google (2015-2019) included developing the initial version of Cloud ML, now known as Vertex AI, and supporting machine learning use cases for edge devices.
