Mike Hamilton

Mike Hamilton is the Director of Accounting & Operations at Courage Capital. Mike has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry.

Mike started their career in banking, working their way up from an Income Administrator at Bankers Trust to a Senior Investment Assistant / Team Leader at Bankers Trust / Deutsche Bank / State Street Bank. In this role, they were responsible for acting as a single point of contact between the bank and Investment Managers, overseeing client reporting, settlements, corporate actions, securities lending, and reconciliations. Mike also served as team leader for an 8 member group monitoring research and documentation for compliance issues, as well as mentoring, training, and interviewing new employees.

In December 2003, Mike left banking to become a Partner at American Capital Lending, where they helped borrowers secure financing and acted as an intermediary by determining client needs, shopping lenders for the best terms, walking borrowers through the loan process, explaining the intricacies of loan documents, and managing the document flow, appraisal, and title process.

Mike has been with Courage Capital since January 2005 and currently serves as their Director of Accounting & Operations. In this role, they are responsible for all aspects of accounting and financial reporting for the firm. Mike also oversees the firm’s operations, including human resources, IT, and facilities.

Mike Hamilton reports to Richard Horton, Founder & CIO. They are on a team with John Wengraf - Sr. Managing Director, Blake Rowlinson - Senior Associate, and Rhett Hogan - Managing Director.
