Jonny Thomson

Jonny Thomson serves as the Associate Director of University Partnerships EMEA at Coursera, focusing on building partnerships with prominent universities to enhance access to online learning for a global community of over 155 million learners. Previously, Jonny was a Business Development Fellow at On Deck, contributing to the growth of strategic partnerships within a global network. At the University of Oxford, Jonny held dual roles as Head of Partnerships for the Oxford Foundry, leading a partnership team and engaging with large audiences as a public speaker, and as a founding Partnerships Manager, establishing the University’s first independent Centre for Entrepreneurship. Additionally, Jonny has experience as a Partnership Development Officer at Youth Business International, as well as founding Magma Tribe, a blog and podcast aimed at supporting entrepreneurs. Jonny also offered consultancy services in carbon and sustainability at EnergyQuote JHA prior to its acquisition by Accenture. Educational qualifications include an upcoming Executive MSc in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from HEC Paris and a BA in Geography from the University of Exeter.
