Steven Ackerman

Steven Ackerman is an accomplished professional in the field of materials science and product development, currently serving as the Vice President for the Sorona Product and Technology Organization at Covation Biomaterials since June 2022. Previously, Steven held various leadership roles at DuPont, including Global Product and Planning Director, where responsibilities involved new business development activities for DuPont Sorona® in apparel applications and management of global supply chains for BCF fibers and carpets. Steven began as a Customer Facing Technologist, leading projects to establish value chains in carpet applications and also contributed as a Staff Associate Investigator supporting the specialty polymer business. Steven holds a Master’s Degree in Material Science and Engineering from the University of Delaware and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Lehigh University.
