Daniel Murray

Daniel Murray is an experienced professional in the underwriting and energy sectors with a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and ongoing education in Commercial Underwriting from The Institutes. Currently serving as the Chief Underwriter at Covenant Underwriters since November 2018, Daniel focuses on streamlining E+S markets for broker and carrier partners within a growing insurtech start-up. Prior to this role, Daniel was the Underwriting Manager for the Hotel Division at Murray Insurance & Financial, overseeing the underwriting and placement for 300 hotels in the CAT-exposed Gulf Region, as well as managing small commercial accounts in Houston. Earlier experience includes a position as a Production Engineer at Arkanova Energy Corporation, where Daniel managed field operations and compliance for an expansive oil lease.
