Chief Executive Officer at Covene

Matt Powell has worked in the technology and infrastructure industry for over 19 years. From 2012 to present, they have been the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Client Services at Covene LLC, where they work with teams to deliver voice, videoconferencing, and collaboration technologies to organizations. From 2008 to 2012, they worked as an Account Manager at Calence/Insight Networking, specializing in selling Cisco Systems hardware and consulting services. Prior to this, they were a Branch Sales Manager, Assistant Vice President at HSBC from 2001 to 2008, where they were responsible for all branch operations and sales.

Matt Powell attended Truman State University from 1996 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Business Administration/International Business. During their time at Truman State, they also participated in a study abroad program at IPAG Business School in Nice, France, focusing on International Business/Economics and French Immersion. In 2011 and 2012, Matt attended the Cisco Networking Academy to complete their CCNA-Networking Program. Additionally, Matt has attended Parkway South and obtained various certifications, including CMNA - Certified Meraki Networking Associate from Todd Nightingale in November 2018, Express Collaboration Account Manager Representative v3 from Cisco in May 2017, Advanced Video Account Manager Representative from Cisco in May 2016, Express Video Account Manager Representative from Cisco in May 2016, and Cisco Business Value Analyst from Cisco in May 2016.
