Rui Carvalho

Rui Carvalho has a long and varied work experience. Rui began their career in 2007 as an Intern in the Strategy Department at Fleet Logistics International. In 2009, they held the role of Controller at L'Oréal, Assistant Professor Statistics I at Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and Senior Consultant at Ernst & Young. From 2013 to 2016, they were a Manager at KPMG, and from 2016 to 2018 they were the Director of Finance and VP of Operations at Unbabel. Currently, Rui is the Co-founder and COO of Coverflex.

Rui Carvalho obtained a Bachelor degree in Economics from Universidade Nova de Lisboa between 2004 and 2007. During 2006, they also attended EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht. In 2007, they completed a Master degree in Management, major in Finance at Universidade Católica Portuguesa, which they finished in 2009. Additionally, they attended Queen's University in 2008. Rui Carvalho also holds certifications in Managerial Accounting, Managerial Economics, Excel VBA: Managing Files and Data, Running a Profitable Business: Understanding Cash Flow, Running a Profitable Business: Understanding Financial Ratios, and Financial Risk Manager from LinkedIn and Global Association of Risk Professionals, which they obtained in 2016 and 2013 respectively.
