Arthur Groot

Arthur Groot is a seasoned professional with about 25 years of experience in the oil, gas, and (petro)chemical industries. They began their career as a process engineer at Akzo Nobel and have advanced to the role of plant & process safety competence manager at Covestro, where they oversee safety operations across 23 global sites. Additionally, they serve as a trainer and course developer at PHOV, specializing in process safety and incident investigation methodologies. Arthur holds a Master's degree in Chemical Process Technology from the University of Amsterdam and has worked with various companies, gaining expertise in engineering, project management, and HSE risk management. As a member of EPSC, they have contributed to organizing the European conference on big data and process safety since 2015.
