Bert Schiphorst

Bert Schiphorst is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in regulatory registration, food contact, and lean management within the chemical and coatings industries. Currently serving as Senior Expert Regulatory Registration & Food Contact at Covestro since April 2021, Bert also holds a long-term position as Senior Regulatory Expert Registration & Food Approval and Lean Expert at DSM Coating Resins since April 2008, where significant contributions include facilitating 14 Lean Events and training over 70 individuals in Lean methodologies. Previous roles include R&D Manager and Technical Service Manager, where Bert led a team of Application Chemists, supported the launch of 22 new industrial products, and managed an annual budget. Beginning in 1986 with DSM Composite Resins, Bert’s career highlights include successful product development and strategic partnership establishment leading to substantial revenue growth. Bert holds a BSc in Organic Chemistry and a BSc in Business Administration and Management.
