Markus Haertel

Markus Haertel has extensive experience in corporate finance, M&A, and venture capital, currently serving in Corporate Venture Capital and M&A at Covestro since January 2019. Previously, Markus held positions as CFO at WebID Solutions GmbH and Corporate Finance Advisor in an independent role. As Managing Director at First Capital Partners, Markus specialized in corporate finance advisory. Other notable roles include Vorstand at Deutsche Schiffahrt AG and Managing Director at Eurohypo AG, where Markus led Real Estate Investment Banking in Germany. Early career experiences at Credit Suisse included roles such as Director in the European M&A Group and Vice President in M&A and Leveraged Finance. Markus started in corporate finance as an Associate at Credit Suisse and as a Financial Analyst at Salomon Brothers.
