Eric Lackey has an extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Eric began their career in 1993 as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team Leader and Electronic Warfare Signals Intelligence Analyst with the US Army. In 2002, they became a Security Manager with the US Department of Homeland Security, where they trained and supervised over 5,000 Transportation Security Administration security screeners. In 2003, they joined SAIC as a Physical Security Advisor, followed by CACI International Inc. in 2004 as a Counterintelligence & Counterterrorism Analyst. From 2006 to 2016, they were with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI), where they served as a Cyber Insider Threat Specialist and Counterintelligence Specialist. In 2016, they joined Citi as a VP, Insider Threat Program Manager. In 2018, they became a Principal Advisor - Threat Intelligence & Professional Services with Flashpoint, and in 2021, they assumed the role of Director of Incident Response with Coveware.
Eric Lackey obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Project Management from Colorado Technical University in 2006. In 2016, they attended the DoD Cyber Investigations Training Academy (DCITA) and obtained certifications as a Cyber Crime Investigator, Digital Forensics Examiner, and Digital Media Collector. In 2017, they earned a Master of Science in Digital Forensic Science from Champlain College. In 2015, they obtained a CompTIA Security+ ce certification from CompTIA. In 2020, they obtained a CERT Insider Threat Program Evaluator Certificate from the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University.
