James Finlay has held a variety of roles in the cybersecurity field. James began their career in 2013 as a Dialler Systems Administrator and Customer Care Professional at Westpac New Zealand Limited. In 2017, they returned to DLA Piper as a Summer Clerk. In 2019, they worked at DLA Piper as a Solicitor and Law Clerk. In 2020, they moved to Clyde & Co as an Associate, Cyber Incident Response. In 2021, they became Manager, Data Breach Incident Response at Commonwealth Bank. Finally, in 2022 they were appointed Director of Incident Response at Coveware.
James Finlay completed a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) from The University of Auckland. James also attended Rosmini College.
