Chris Walker

Vice President at COWI

Chris Walker has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Chris began their career in 2000 as a Bursar for the Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers in the British Army. In 2004, they transitioned to COWI, where they held various roles, including Assistant Engineer to Associate and Director. During their time at COWI, Chris worked as a Project Manager, Technical Lead, and Project Engineer for the design and assessment of special structures and bridges. Chris also had a focus on lightweight cable-supported structures and long-span bridge projects. In 2020, Chris became the Bridge Practice Lead in London and later Vice President at COWI. Chris has played a significant role in business development in the bridge and special structures markets.

Chris Walker obtained a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in General Engineering from the University of Cambridge, during the period between 2000-2004. Chris also completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in General Structural Engineering from Imperial College London between 2008-2009. Additionally, Chris has obtained several certifications including European Engineer, IntPE(UK), and Chartered Structural Engineer.
