Coll Macfarlane is a Principal Geotechnical Engineer with extensive experience in various aspects of geotechnical engineering. They began their career as an Electrician at UKAEA from 1987 to 1993, followed by roles as a Geotechnical Engineer at Alluvial Mining and a Contract Geologist from 1999 to 2003. They worked as a Senior Engineer at Fugro from 2003 to 2009, and subsequently as a Contract Engineer at Ground Up Engineering until 2016. Since then, Coll has held positions as Principal Engineer at Arcadis and COWI, overseeing geotechnical projects, including their current role in support of the HS2 joint venture. Coll earned a Bachelor's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Portsmouth, completing their studies in 2004.
