Lizzi Andersen

Lizzi Andersen is a Senior Specialist at COWI A/S, a position held since 2007, with prior experience as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Washington's Faculty of Engineering, specializing in Phytoremediation of contaminated soil. Andersen has held various leadership roles, including Head of Department and Head of Waste Lab at DHI from 2000 to 2007, as well as Project Leader and Senior Specialist at COWI from 1986 to 1991. Additional experience includes planning solid waste management for the Greater Copenhagen Council (1974-1980) and serving as Afdelingsleder at Rambøll (1984-1986) and Chief Engineer and Head of Department at VKI (1997-1999). Andersen holds an MSc in Environmental Engineering with a focus on Operations Analysis from the Technical University of Denmark and a background in Environmental studies from Ordrup Gymnasium.
