John Anderson

John Anderson has over 20 years of extensive experience in system administration and application engineering, with significant expertise in Hadoop environments and Splunk deployments. At Cox Communications, John served as Lead Application Engineer IV, where responsibilities included designing and maintaining Hadoop systems, and previously worked as System Administrator IV focusing on distributed Splunk configurations for over 3500 devices. Prior experience includes roles at The Weather Channel as Sr. System Administrator, BellSouth as Security Administrator, Lockheed Martin as Sr. Computer System Analyst supporting various defense programs, and the Defense Department as Cartographer managing complex information systems. John holds a BS in Geology from the University of South Alabama.
