Matt Freeman

Matt Freeman is an accomplished communications professional currently serving as the Assistant Vice President of Corporate Communications at Cox Communications since January 2018. In this role, Matt leads the communications strategy for Cox’s Residential Business Unit, focusing on integrated PR campaigns that enhance product visibility, customer experience, and market expansion. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Director and Director of Public Affairs at Cox, where responsibilities involved managing internal communications and driving strategic messaging around key product lines and regulatory issues. Prior to Cox, Matt held the position of Head of Corporate Communications at Republic National Distributing Company and served as Corporate Communications Manager at AGL Resources. Career beginnings were at Edelman, where Matt progressed through various public relations roles. Matt holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Managerial Studies from Vanderbilt University.
