Barry Ohlson

Barry Ohlson serves as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs at Cox Enterprises since 2012, having initially joined the company as Chief Policy Counsel in 2010. Prior experience includes a partnership at Wilkinson Barker Knauer, LLP, and a role as Senior Counsel at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP. Ohlson has extensive experience with the Federal Communications Commission, where positions included Senior Legal Advisor and Chief of the Policy Division in the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau. Earlier roles include Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs at Winstar Communications and various associate positions at law firms McDermott Will & Emery and Keller and Heckman LLP. Ohlson holds a JD from The George Washington University Law School and an AB in International Economic Relations and Mathematics from William & Mary.
