Jon Lightner

Jon Lightner is a seasoned professional in the field of critical facilities engineering with extensive experience in managing data center operations and systems. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Critical Facilities Engineering at Cox Enterprises since June 2019, Jon oversees a team that ensures 100% uptime for production data center infrastructure and manages substantial retrofit projects aimed at enhancing data center viability. Additional roles include an Executive Committee Member for the 7x24 Exchange Atlanta Chapter, where Jon fosters dialogue to improve mission-critical information infrastructure reliability. Previous experience includes working at QTS Data Centers as a Critical Environment Technician, as well as holding various supervisory and operational positions in the US Navy, where Jon was involved in nuclear reactor operations and maintenance. Jon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University and completed Nuclear Power School at the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command.
