Patrick Waite is the senior vice president of assurance, risk and enablement for Cox Enterprises.
He leads internal audit and consulting across the Cox family of businesses, while supporting key stakeholders at Cox Enterprises with their financial and operational performance.
Waite is responsible for identifying, structuring and developing a continuous risk assessment process to ensure the enterprise remains safe. His team leads the implementation of a dynamic audit plan that assesses the design and operating effectiveness of the company’s processes, systems and controls.
The team also provides consulting services that drive meaningful organizational change and focuses on hiring diverse talent that can fill future business gaps. Waite also leads the Cox Enterprises business operations team, helping leaders work toward being financially and operationally efficient.
Prior to his current role, Waite served as vice president of supply chain operations, planning and logistics at Cox Communications, where he developed and executed the fulfillment of all supply chain needs. He was also the executive director of process improvement.
Before joining Cox, Waite held numerous roles in business transformation at Fortune 1000 companies, including AGCO, CHEP, Linde and Ernst & Young.
Waite holds a Bachelor of Science in Operations and Statistics from Miami University, an MBA from the University of Florida and a Six Sigma Master Black Belt. In his spare time, he enjoys time with his wife and two daughters. He also teaches process improvement at the University of Georgia as a part-time faculty member.
