Sameer Asher

Sameer Asher is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law and governance. Currently serving as Vice President Legal at Cox Enterprises since December 2020, Sameer leads a legal team providing strategic support to the company's growth initiatives and previously held the position of Assistant General Counsel where involvement included mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and pro bono services. Prior to Cox, Sameer was Vice President, Deputy General Counsel at Rent., where contributions included guiding legal strategies for M&A and corporate governance. Sameer has a history of leadership roles, having served as Head of Corporate Legal at GSMA and worked as an associate at prominent firms King & Spalding and Linklaters, engaging in significant transactions in the securities and M&A sectors. Sameer holds a law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and an undergraduate degree from Emory University.
