Keith Bowermaster

Keith is a member of Coyne PR’s Healthcare Practice and the agency’s Executive Leadership Team. With nearly 30 years of communications experience in both agency and corporate settings, Keith excels in helping companies and organizations shape narratives and tell their stories to internal and external audiences.

Prior to joining Coyne, Keith served as Vice President, Communications for one of the largest health systems in the southeast, overseeing all internal and external communications, social media, special events, marketing & advertising, and crisis and issue management. Building upon a solid background in healthcare, Keith has also developed and implemented strategic communication plans and initiatives for companies in other industries, including construction, finance, higher education, and non-profit.

An expert in crisis communications and issue management, Keith has spent his career working with companies on honing a sound crisis communications plan and then putting those plans into action. He has supported companies and clients through hundreds of crises and issues, including natural disasters, gas line breaks, food contamination, mass shooting, sudden (forced) departure of key executives and layoffs, “Not In My Backyard” (NIMBY) construction projects, improper medical care/treatment, employee misconduct/arrests, and more.

Keith earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from the University of Florida, a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from the University of Miami, and is Accredited in Public Relations (APR) and is a Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP).

Never out of the classroom, Keith is an adjunct professor teaching graduate-level strategic healthcare marketing and communications at NYU, and an adjunct lecturer teaching undergraduate healthcare PR at his alma mater, the University of Florida (Go Gators!).
