Andrew Gilbert has extensive work experience in the field of IT. Andrew is currently serving as the Interim Head of IT at CDP since February 2023. Prior to this, they worked at NatWest Group in various roles including Programme Manager, Business Management & Property Strategy, Head of Infrastructure PMO, Enterprise Systems Manager, Infrastructure Projects, UNIX Projects & Security Manager, and UNIX/Virtualisation/Backup Manager. Andrew was also employed at Deutsche Bank as the UNIX Services BAU Team Leader and previously worked as a UNIX SA (Contract). Additionally, Andrew has worked at Cable & Wireless Communications as a UNIX SA (Contract), at SWIFT as the Deputy Help Desk Team Lead, and at Morgan Grenfell Asset Management as an AIX Systems Engineer (Contract). Andrew started their career at Control Data Systems PLC as an AIX Team Leader and at COTEC Computing Services as a UNIX Systems Engineer.

Andrew Gilbert graduated from the University of Hull in 1991, where they obtained a HNC in Computer Studies. Prior to that, they completed their OND in Computer Studies from Hull College in the years 1987-1989. Andrew'ssecondary education took place at Beverley Grammar from 1981 to 1986, where they obtained their GCSE/CSE. In addition to their formal education, Andrew Gilbert obtained a certification as a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum.org in October 2018.
