Richard Freund has a diverse work experience, primarily in the fields of finance, sustainable infrastructure, and education. Richard is currently working as an Associate Director at CDP Capital Markets since July 2022. Previously, they served as a Senior Manager in Municipal Finance and Public Infrastructure at the same company from July 2021 to July 2022. Richard also worked as a Manager in Sustainable Infrastructure at CDP Capital Markets from January 2019 to July 2021. Prior to that, they had a short-term role as part of the Consulting Team at GreenMax Capital Advisor in June to August 2018. Additionally, they had a summer internship as a Summer Intern at Education For Employment - Global (EFE-Global) in 2011.

Richard Freund has a Master's Degree in Law and Diplomacy with a focus on Resource and Energy Policy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University, which they obtained from 2017 to 2019. Richard also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy from Kenyon College, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, Richard has obtained several certifications, including "Internet History, Technology, and Security" from Coursera Verified Certificates in May 2015, "The Power of Microeconomics: Economic Principles in the Real World" in December 2014, and "Model Thinking" in August 2014. Furthermore, they have pursued coursework in Economics and Geographic Information Systems at Santa Monica College starting in 2016. Richard has also completed the Rocky Mountain Semester XV program at High Mountain Institute in 2005, and completed an unspecified program at NOLS in 2004.
