Thomas Maddox

Global Director, Nature at CDP

Thomas Maddox is an experienced conservation professional currently serving as Global Director for Nature and previously as Global Director for Forests and Land at CDP since March 2021. Prior to this role, Thomas worked at Fauna & Flora International from July 2015 to May 2021 as a Senior Technical Advisor, focusing on advisory services and program development within the Business and Biodiversity Programme. Additional roles include Natural Capital Hub Manager at the Cambridge Conservation Initiative, Consultant for the Wildlife Conservation Society, and Leader of the Heart of Borneo Global Initiative at the World Wide Fund for Nature. Thomas has a strong academic background with a Ph.D. in Ecology from UCL and an MBA from the University of Cambridge, complemented by a BSc in Biology from the University of Durham. Throughout a career spanning various prominent organizations, Thomas has demonstrated expertise in natural capital, wildlife conservation, and sustainable development.
